"Isn't it beautiful, Torvus?"
The sun was setting and the temperature was dropping, casting sinister shadows over the tombstones which littered the infamous quarry. They say that ghosts often appear here at night; a reputation perhaps responsible for the lack interest shown in the formally living. This meant peace for those who sought it, even memories of the past once forgotten, but never was a thought that the area was permanently dormant. In fact, the area was likely to be more alive than a lot of places once the darkness layered over everything.
A Haunter, apparently responding to the name Torvus, returned to Lilith's side, who was gazing almost blankly into the scene before her. It was no surprise that the pair found themselves at such a site; Lilith had deliberately sought it out. She hadn't been in town long, but she was instantly attracting to the energies that emitted from the quarry. While the two were the only source of activity, it was enough for now.
Lilith's purple eyes darted to her companion, who remained eerily quiet. Upon the realisation, a small smile curled upon her lips. It was hard to believe that such a place would have terrified her, once upon a time. But that fateful night back home in Lavender Town had changed everything. She was once afraid of ghosts and the like, but now she was fascinated. The two became inseparable and Lilith realised that the Haunter was her only friend in the world.
Suddenly, something had distracted the ghost pokemon. As soon as Lilith recognised the change in her companion, he seemed to have disappeared in the breeze. 'Hm? Is somebody there?' She thought to herself, turning slightly to have a better look over her shoulder, narrowing her eyes to carefully scan her surroundings. Torvus was no where to be seen.
