Personality: Once you get down to it, Chris is one of the nicest guys you'll meet. He'll talk to you none stop like you're some sort of statue that was just there for him to talk to. He'll let you talk, of course. It just depends how far you get before he blows you off because of your attitude. Though most people don't understand him, he seems to understand everyone else just by looking at them. What they're feeling, why they are what they are, etc. He knows pretty much all of it. He normally leaves everyone in confusion, though. No one really gets him it the point. Though he somehow makes freinds in the end of it all. He always seems nice enough, so why not have a guy as a friend who also have a burning personality?
History: Chris had a fear of water ever since he was a baby. No one knows whay exactly, but he's never got in and actualy swam in it. They've tried putting him on trusted Pokemon, but he would always scream and cry when the Pokemon was in the water. Either was, he was always afraid of water, even though he had no life changing experiances with it. Though his begging may sound strange, the rest may confuse you completely.
Chris had always loved Pokemon, even from the start. Pokemon would always sleep in his crib when he was a baby, and there were a few rare times where a Pokemon ate with him on the table. For some strange reason, though, he always favored fire-types better than any other type there was. He would always crawl around with his father's Flareon and his mother's Torkoal when he was a baby, and would usually ride on Tork's back around the house like some kind of Choo Choo Train. Most people - even Chris's parents - laughed at what he did. Both parents were trainers when they were young, though his mother always competed in Coordinator Compitions when she was young as well. So it was no suprise when Chris loved the display of beauty when it came to things such as shows on TV and fireworks bursting in the air.
At the age of around four, Chris learned of his mother being pregnate. He knew that the child wasn't meant to be, but his mother wasn't going to get an abortion or give the baby away when it was born. That just made Chris happier, and the age of five, Chris got his wish of what most kids - mainly boys - always wanted: a baby brother. He was a bit overly excited, telling Flareon and Torkoal all about it, even though they already knew about it for nine months. Though somehow, this brother seemed different than him. For one, he had brown hair and brown eyes, just like his parents, though his mother had green eyes while his father had a lighter brunette hair dou. He also loved getting in the tub, but didn't care much for fire type at all. His parents named him Jacob, though Chris had a few other ideas in mind for the name.
At the age of eight, Chris was given some sort of egg. He didn't know what it was, or what was inside of it. All he knew was that he had to hatch it. It had been a gift from his parents for his eighth birthday. They knew he would want to go on his Pokemon adventure when he turned ten, so they knew that they had to find a Pokemon they could trust with their son before letting him off on his adventure. They had gotten the egg from the local daycare, so of course, they didn't know what Pokemon was inside the egg either. Over the next few months, Chris, Flareon, and Torkoal, along with some of his parent's other Pokemon, raised the eggcuasioutly and carfully. Even Chris's brother Jacob helped a little, reading children's books to it when Chris was away at school. And then one day, about a year later, the egg started hatching while Chris was asleep on summer break.
When Chris rolled over the next morning to check on how his egg how laying beside him, he literaly jumped out of his bed with a yell. Laying next to him was a small, dog-like Pokemon. It looked slightly dazed, as if it had just woken up from a long nap. It was small for a Groulithe, as his father would once say. The egg that it was in had broken into two halves, only a few parts broken off to make a small mess in the bed. His parents had came running in as soon as they heard him yell, though they just laughed when they saw the small puppy Pokemon. Chris didn't get the joke when he crawled back into his bed, though he was just as happy to see his Pokemon that he would spend the rest of his journeys with.
When the time finally arrived for Chris to leave, it was hard to say goodbye to some of the Pokemon that he knew he'd leave behind for a long while. Jacob have given him a long and hard hug before he left, which made him cry a bit when he did turn and leave. His parents had given him a strange necklace before he left, one with a crystal lying horazontally with a bead on either end to keep it in place. Over the next few months, Chris traveled around with his small Groulithe by his side. Many people mocked it when they saw it, though they were shunned down with the misery of defeat. Chris mainly only caught fire types, with the few acceptions of other types to help him get around, of which he would later send home or give to his brother when he was done training them. And when Chris finally made it to the big leauges at age eleven, he was almost stunned at what he saw.
So many people had gathered from far and near to compete in the championships, which made him have to call upon a few Pokemon from home. He evolved a few Pokemon with stones, though Groulithe seemed to want to prove to it's trainer that small was power. As the days flew past quickly, Chris began winning battle after battle as his family cheered him on from home. Groulithe was proving most everyone wrong about his disorder of being born small, crushing almost every foe larger than he was. Many people cheered for him, though many others frowned upon him for his battling style of speed over power. But it was working for him now, wasn't it? Not for long, though.
This was the battle to be in the top five in the championships. Chris and his opponet were at their final matchup. Chris was using Groulithe, while his opponet had sent out a Charizard to battle. Both were an even match-up, the tension rising with each move that the Pokemon had made. The fire-type moves that the Charizard was launching was only raising up Groulithe's stats because of his specail ability. Chris laughed inwardly at that as he had Groulithe attack, using a couple different moves such as bite and takedown. They were winning it seemed, but only by a long shot. And then it happend. The Charizard unexpectically lurcing on Groulithe, using Rage. Chris's Pokemon went down in one blow. That was Chris's last battle in the Championships. His Pokemon was badly injured, though some seemed to ignore that as he rushed to the Pokemon Centre in hopes of curing his injured Pokemon.
As he was waiting for his Pokemon to recover, Chris sat in the waiting room of the Pokemon Centre, watching as people past him, some staring at the TV on the wall, which were playing the Championships. Chris was deep in thought when a man had came up to him, startling him into a jump. The man told Chris that he didn't mean to scare him, and that he only wanted to talk. Knowing his Pokemon would come out healed any minute, Chris let him sit down and speak. Though, he was suprised at what the man told him there in that one Pokemon Centre.
The man told him of the Yoen City Gym Leader. He said to him that the man had passed away due to a fatal heart attack. Chris couldn't believe that much. He had seen the leader not sum month or so ago, and the man looked pretty healthy as is. But the man that spoke said it was true, and that someone else was taking his place until a true leader could come to the challange of becoming Gym Leader. And that's where Chris came in. The man asked him if he would be willing to become the Gym Leader of Yeon with some training. The man told him that he had been watching Chris for a while now, and that he thought his skills with fire types were some of the best he'd seen in many years. Chris was almost suprised, but what suprised the man even more was that Chris said yes.
Over the next few years, Chris trained hard with his Pokemon, catching a few to raise while asking for help from his parents and younger brother. Jacob had helped by training a few Pokemon that Chris had given him, then training with Chris to make his brother's Pokemon stronger. Chris went to the wildreness many times alone to train with his Pokemon to become stronger. The whole time, he kept that cyrstal around his neck that his parents had given him. And with each passing week, it grew a darker red than before. By the time he was sixteen, he had a team of high-leveled Pokemon. His Groulithe has evolved out of it's own free will to help it's trainer become stronger. The strange thing was that it was larger than it's usualy companions. Most were suprised, but Chris was just as happy.
But of course, all strange things happen to people who don't see them coming.
It was the middle of summer, and it was hot as hell. Team Rocket was at their peak, trying to capture many Pokemon for some sceme of theirs to take over the newly deveploped region. As one of the strongest people in Xato, Chris was one of the few who wanted to try and save Xato. Though nothing much was going according to plan. Many Pokemon were getting caught, including the Legendaries who came to flee here from other regions where they were getting attacked. And the next one on the list: Entai. Still having a passion for Fire Types, Chris was brave enough to scale Mt. Iron Side, where Entai was hidden. It was a long climb, and he knew he had been beaten to the top by Team Rocket. But by the sound of it, Entai was putting up a big fight. As he reached the top, large bursts of fire rapidly shot off of the summit, showing that the battle was still on. Because of Fang's evalution, Chris was able to ride his Pokemon through the hard parts to the summit, though what he saw was completely suprisng.
Entai was weakend badly, but he was still holding strong and fighting off Rocket. Many of the grunts had fled back, giving way to a few Commanders and their water types. Entai was going down in an instant if he got shot with a Hydro Pump, and Chris wouldn't stand for it. He called upon all of his Pokemon, and to Entai's suprise, Chris began helping. Entai could only go along with it, each type getting beaten down by some sort of Fire Type, such as Houndour Charizard. The Grunts and Commanders were stunned at the sudden loss of Pokemon, and it soon ended up with Giovanni having to battle. He laughed at his Team for how such a young boy was defeating such stronger Pokemon. Entai was growling behind Chris, though he didn't even flinch as the Pokemon stood next to him with pride. Though Giovanni put up a good fight, Fang and Entai ended the last blow on his Persian, making the team flee.
Chris remembered how Entai actualy spoke to him, telling him that he would one day repay the favor that Chris had given him. He then disapeared into the lava, wishing him luck with his new Gym Leader postion. Though he went back to town empty handed, Chris still trained egearly for the dya when he could once again see Entai, and then add him to his team.
He took the Gym of Yoen with pride, and many challangeres came from far and near to get their final Gym Badge. Some lost, some won, and many ended in a draw. Chris still had a bit of fun, though. And to this day, he still does. His new goal is to become better and hopfully become one of the Elite Four, or even the Xato Champion. His biggest goal, though, is to find Entai and have it as a part of his team.

Chris gave a sigh, leaning back on the rainbow foutain as he watched the people go by diligently. With one hand enhulphed in a soda and the other on his pants, he gave a sigh, his green eyes wandering around like a bee in a flower patch. His overly large partner sat next to him on the brick road, panting as he looked for some sort of challanger to face next. Though, as Christopher told him many times before, it usually wasn't his choice. No, it was always the challanger's choice to battle the Gym Leader. Though, Chris knew they were only visiting here. This wasn't their town, and they didn't even know if it had a Gym or not. They just hadn't had any challangers. From what he'd heard from the other Gyms, people had been on a losing streak, which bored them constantly. So really, no one was around to battle the eighth. Chris sighed again, dropping his empty can to the ground. He stomped on it, making it flat.
"C'mon, Arcanine," he said to his partner, standing up with a grunt. The Pokemon growled slightly in response, standing up and quickly followed it's trainer as he began walking through the town, doading people as they went. They were going back to the Gym to train, though, why need it? There was no lousy trainer around to battle them.
So why waste time?
