Ryu is very calculative and often chooses against random judgment in situations. In battle Ryu has many different approaches, one of which is using his strategic and tactical mind to win. Ryu is a quick learner, that added on to the ability to persevere is a superb combo. Ryu is extremely creative and does not always need to go about things the 'go right out and do it' way, he can also battle with his brain. Ryu also never gives up no matter what, a trait that all pokemon gym leaders and trainers should have. In training, Ryu would push himself and his pokemon over the limit every time.

T R U S T L E S S && R E S E N T F U L

Ryu doesn't like to trust people that he doesn't know. He's not the sharing type and won't just go around getting to know everyone straight off. It takes him a long time to open up to people mostly because he believes that relationships would only slow him down fro machieving his ultimate goal. Ryu is one that can hold grudges for a long period of time and his ability to hate is unmatched. He believes that he should fight for himself and only himself, and if he surcomes to help from others he might as well give up on his dream to become the best.

D A R K && R E B E L L I O U S

This is a side of Ryu that you would probably fairly always see from him. Ryu tolerates alot but when you push him too far he explodes like a bomb. He can make you feel like you wished that you was never born, Ryu most of the time has no regard to rules whatsoever. He feels as though he is supreme and will be the best trainer that ever lived anyway, making him feel as though he can do what he wants. Ryu is mischevious and extremely ill mannered toward others.

The act of manipulation is one of Ryu's greatest strengths. Ryu is one that can say a bold lie and make you believe that he is actually telling the truth. On top of that, he is very cunning and sly. Ryu is a tricky little one, he is someone that you should always keep your eye on. Ryu might be young but he knows how to do things that some his age cannot, he knows things that some his age couldn't dream of knowing. If you are weak in heart, Ryu can tell and take advantage of you. In battle if he sees your weakness he will head straight for it, kind of snake - like.

Ryu hardly ever gets scared, he only fears one thing and that thing is death. It doesn't matter who you are or what your power level is, Ryu will battle and battle to the end if it came down to it. Ryu has a mouth on him as well, often saying things to people that he might one day regret. Ryu is very brave, some might even call him crazy for the things that this young boy would be willing to do. He is also a dare devil at heart and loves to take risks.[/ul]

[/color] Ryu said afterward lauhing. The boy who he had just previously beaten was named Jiro. Jiro, being the innocent submissive trainer that he was, didn't have the guts to stand up for himself and trash talk back to Ryu.

Ryu only attacked him with wordsl ike that because he let him if he had stood up for himself Ryu would definately respect it. "You're not worthy to be in this Gym, you're not even worthy to breathe in it. Come back when you gain some skill." Ryu said sitting back n his chair. The boy left crying, this was not what Ryu wanted to see. He wanted the boy to fight back, he liked pushing people to see what would happen. What a pathetic excuse for a trainer.
