It was kinda nice actualy. It was a hot day, and there was nothing to do. So he had asked himself, why not find a cool spot to relax and rest until nightfall, then travel when it was cool. He was just lucky the Pokemon were friendly here, though a few decided to hide until the stranger left. Literaly all of his Pokemon were out, doing something as he layed at the edge of the pool, Inferno and Areo sleeping on either side of him. One of Areo's wings acted like a small blanket, the Pokemon's tail lying on it's trainer's feet. Infero's flame was a bit low as he slept, Kc smirking the hole time as he listened to the sounds of his Pokemon.
Shift had decided to go off somewhere into the woods to play, King tagging along to explore. He just hopped the big 'ol brute wouldn't scare anyone. Though his Pokemon knew to try and stay away from trainers if they were by themselfs. Sparks and Absol, along with Blaze a few few wild Pokemon, had decided to play a game of tag, the wild ones ignoring the trainer; though he practicaly had the scent of Pokemon on him already. Froslass danced around the pool's surface, Blaster coming up for air every few minutes. Kc had guessed that he found a few water types to play with. Growlithe, on the other hand, had found an actual spot where sunlight came in, and had decided to sun bath there. Kc knew the Pokemon was way beyond passed out by now.
"Absol!" the Dark-Type cried as a Bellsprout tagged it with one of it's vines. The Pokemon was quick to turn around, wanting to try and tag it back.
Somewhere off, Kc could've sworn he heard the sound of on coming footsteps, some of the wild Pokemon pausing to see what it was. He heard a Vapereon give a cry, though it could've been the one that was scared of King earlier. A lot of Pokemon - and Trainers alike - usually were afraid of the large Poision-Type's appearance, and had a tendancy to yalp sometimes. Well, if they were inexperianced. Others usually stood their ground or asked politely for Kc to return his Pokemon. He usually did, of course, The sound of Pokemon's feet scurrinyg around again got his attention, making him chuckle slightly as the Pokemon played.

"Spin-da, Spin-da," said the small pokemon, her second oldest one, as it walked out in front of her. Up above her, Magnezone was just over the treetops, watching out for anything that might be a problem for the group. Before she'd come to Xato she'd used a Tropius and a Crobat for that particular job, but right now all she had for the job was Magnezone. Shuppet was next to her, moving in the shadows for the most part. It could move in the light, but the playful ghost pokemon thought it was invisible in the shadows, not realizing its large blue eyes were easily visible.
Bunneary, Riolu, and Xatu were in their pokeballs for the moment. She'd thought about using the psychic/flying pokemon as a scout, but she knew it prefered to walk to fly, the only time it flew was when she needed it to use fly to make it across to some other city quickly. She prefered walking to that because there was only so much you could observe from so high up. She hated surfing and being on the water... she got seasick to easily. Something that definatly differentiated her from her mother, a Water Pokemon Gym Leader.
Despite the small appearence of the two pokemon on either side of her, they were two of her oldest pokemon. Shuppet was the first one she caught in the Hoenn region, and Spinda was the second pokemon she'd caught at all. As for Magnezone... well, its Zap cannon was definatly strong enough to deal with most anything they'd find in the woods. Well, except for a ground type of course. However, she knew that her advantage in that was that most ground pokemon had a secondary type... be it poison or rock for the most part. Spinda knew psychic type moves, and both Bunneary and Rilou knew fighting type moves.
"Don't get to far away Saph," she said calmly to the Shuppet next to her as it started wandering a bit farther into he trees. At its name, it immediatly shot over and hovered over her head, dance-spinning as it moved around.
She stopped just short of bumping into Spinda, looking forward to seeing what would've made the powerful normal type pokemon stop. She looked ahead, her eyes squinting slightly to see if she could find it in the darkness. "What is it spinda? Can you see something?" She was sometimes amazed how the small spiral-eyed pokemon had better eyesight than she did. She blinked, and continued squinting, barely managing to make out the shape of a lake or pond in front of her.

There was a sudden pause of feet, making Kc once again open his eyes to see was the matter. He blinked, Growlithe literally on his feet now, his ears up. Sparks too had paused, her head cocked as she looked towards one pathway, her long tail lashing outwards, the end slightly sparking. Kc sat up, gently moving Areo's wing. The Pokemon only gave a yawn, slowly turning over as to not be touched again as it tried to sleep.
"Sparks, Growlithe?" he could only ask. "What's wrong?"
"Someone's here, I think," his first Pokemon whispered.
It was kinda funny, actually. Growlithe had a curse on him, you see. This curse granted him to talk when ever he pleased, though he never did when others were around. He made a good translator, too, when it was needed. Sparks nodded in agreement to what the small fire-type had said, slowly stepping forward. She looked around before giving a call. Instantly, all of the Pokemon - mainly Kc's - stopped moving, some - like Blaze - skidding to a stop before falling backwards. The wild Pokemon only blinked before some literally jolted towards the path, as if to see what was the matter.
"Absol!" the Dark-Type cried, slowly stepping next to the electrical type Pokemon.
"Hello?" Kcx could only call, slowly standing up.
[OOC; Sorry for the shortness.]

"Magnezone, use lock on to examine the pool ahead of us," she said, hearing a metallic response from the large pokemon hovering above them. She liked to use her pokemon's moves in different ways than trainers did, which was why she didn't consider herself a trainer. She considered herself a researcher more than a trainer. However, she could be called a researcher, a trainer, and a coordinator if one was technical. She researched pokemon, battled with them, and used them in contests in Hoenn. She hadn't quite been in Sinnoh long enough to enter the contests there, although the continent itself intrigued her, but Xato intrigued her more.
"Zoooooone," came the pokemon above her's voice, having finished scanning the area. She couldn't understand what it was saying per say, but she'd been around it long enough to understand its meaning most of the time. It had been her first after all... and she'd trained with it for years, studying its every movement since it was a young Magnemite.
"Something up ahead?" she said musingly. Probably human. If it'd been a pokemon, unless it was something large and likely to eat her, Spinda wouldn't have just stopped. She liked to have Diamond go first if it was a human, so she didn't get a pokeball thrown at her head, which had happened on occassion. She'd knocked the ball out of the way quickly enough though. She removed two pokeballs from the strip of fabric that held her pokeballs, holding them both up, and Magnezone and Saph returned to their balls.
She walked into the clearing, Spinda lifting up the back of her jacket for her, which had almost dipped into a large puddle of mud the rest of her stepped over. She looked around, immediatly spotting the nearby trainer and nodded. At least, she assumed he was a trainer from the way the other pokemon in the area were staying still or were close to him.

Kc blinked before smiling a bid, nodding to the girl who had so suddenly approached. Slowly, he got up wobbling to his feet. Absol had now quited down, giving an odd look to the Spinda. Sparks, on the other hand, seemed less likly to give up her spot. Meanwhile, plenty of the while Pokemon as backed off to where ever they came from. Kc didn't really pay attention, though. At least they didn't try to hurt anyone, right?
"Blaze?" Blaze was finally able to say, blinking before trying to smile as stepped forward, his head slightly cocked. An unexpected trainer usually meant fun for Blaze. Battling was the first thing on his mind, Kc knew.
"Sorry if I disturbed you or anything," Kc finally said, aproaching the trainer. Or, at least, he thought she was a trainer. She had a Spinda, didn't she? Growlithe was quick to rise and follow, his ears perked towards the Spinda. Areo and Infero just now seemed tobe realizing that they had to wake up, Inferno rubbing his eyes. "It was kind've hot out today," Kc went on. "I let a couple of my Pokemon wonder off - a Nidokind being one of them - and I hope they didn't startle you."
Blaster had already come up for air again to see what was the matter, Frosslass spinning around almost gleefully as she approached to where the Spinda was to greet it. Sparks had already backed off, unfortantly, jogging angerily towards the now awakr Areo.

Diamond's eyes shot around the clearing, her eyes examining every pokemon in the area with her analytical stare. There were a few reasons behind the stare. One, she could see which ones she hadn't seen before. However, with her visits to three different continents there weren't many pokemon she hadn't seen. Two, she could see what she was up against if she was attacked. Three... force of habit. The second was also why she returned the other two to their balls.
Spinda was an unevolving pokemon, and not a very threatening one at that. So, most people that tried to battle/attack her underestimated her when Magnezone or Xatu came out to finish the battle. Not that Spinda couldn't hold her own.... Being a normal type pokemon that knew psychic and dark type attacks. It could use these to overcome its fighting weakness, and defeat several other types on its own, and she considered her one of her better 'multi-situation' pokemon, even including the ones back in Goldenrod.
She pushed her glasses up, not really responding to the boy's comments, she didn't really hear anything for her to respond to for the most part. "I grew up with a Gyarados babysitting me with friends, a little Nidoking isn't exactly frightening," she said, more an analytical tone than a mocking one. She'd had a Nidoran female back in Johto for a short time. She'd used a moonstone to evolve it into Nidoqueen, and since she didn't use it very often, she traded the, willing, pokemon for HM02.
Spinda looked, or at least as close as she could tell she looked, like she was examining the other pokemon in the area, including the Frosslass that was approaching her. Diamond had wanted to find one, but she'd been unable to find a Dawn Stone before her Snorunt evolved into a Glalie. Spinda looked curiously at the pokemon above her, before moving her feet in a dancing motion. She was doing that a lot... a habit she'd picked up when Diamond was training her for contests. Teeter Dance was more effective, in both battle and contests, when the user could dance well.

"Frosslass!" the Ice-and-Ghost type Pokemon practicaly sang, doing a spin as she approached the Spinda fully, swaying her hands from side to side. Kc smirked slightly, though ignored the Pokemon fully.
He had only found the Pokemon as an inujured Snowrunt while training for the Pokemon Leauge in Sinnoh. It wouldn't leave him alone, and he hade yet to have six Pokemon to battle with. Unluckly for him, Frosslass was the one to find the Dawn Stone and, as Mikey said, decided to evolve it self. Inferno had already came blinkingly over, trying to get down a bit more as he watched the Spinda curiously. Areo watched from a distance, blinking as Sparks sat silently behind her.
Hell, Kc remembered when there was only Growlithe. It was actualy fun then, though Eevee and Beedrill were pretty fun to catch then. Though Eevee never liked staying in her Pokeball. Kc laughed inwardly at the thought, the Pokemon actualy only liking him when she evolved into a Flareon. Blaziken was already sitting on his rear now, near the pond as Blaster still wafted inside of it, seeming as not wanting to come any closer unless he was called upon.
"Gyarados, eh?" Kc only asked, tilting his head a bit. "Sounds like a fun babysitter." Though, so was a talking Sayain-dog. But that was another story. "I'm Kc, by the way," he said. Growlithe was already trying to inch closer to the dancing Spinda, though he looked like as if he had a fear of it tumbling over on him. Again, Kc laughed inwardly at that.
Up above, a few leaves rustled, some branches shaking. Kc almost guessed that Shift had another one of those "inward instincts" of his, though it could've been just the Grass-and-Dark Type being hungry. Kc's glance shifted once to the path where the girl had come from, expecting King to appear any second and once again scare Frosslass half to death to where she hit him with some attack. And if that ever happend, he'd dare to laugh out loud.

"Diamond," she said dryly. Being a researcher she didn't really show emotion all that well. Something that Magnezone and Spinda shared with her. Spinda just liked to dance, which was the most emotion she usually showed. She was a feminist, she only trained female pokemon unless she didn't have a choice. The most obvious exception was Magnezone, which was genderless. She pushed her glasses back up on her nose, looking at the two dancing pokemon, and the other ones seemed to be very interested in the small pokemon. Probably hadn't been to Hoenn much.
They were common there... and it was the country with the most pokemon that didn't evolve. Tropius, Absol, Relicanth... the list went on for quite a while. She 'scanned' the other trainer with her eyes. He looked itching to battle... which would be alright, she supposed. Some of her pokemon liked to battle, Most of the ones she had with her now were fine with it. Except for Bunneary, who she wasn't likely to use anyway seeing as she still needed to be trained. Same with Riolu, but she liked to fight.
She heard a noise behind her and glanced back, examining the path for a moment and not seeing anything. From the way the other trainer was looking it seemed that he believed it to be another one of his pokemon. "I would assume you'd like to battle?" she asked. She toyed with an empty Luxury ball in her hand, tossing it up and down slightly. She did it for a moment before shrinking the ball once more and putting it in one of the bottom pockets of her coat.
She had what seemed to be an infinite number of pockets on the long coat, on both the inside and the outside. On the outside were most of her supplies for her and her pokemon. On the inside there were different items. Several journals filled with her own observations, and one of her father's published books, a pocket edition. 'Pokemon Legends U-Z, Golden Edition'. Most of the pokemon professors were known for their work in the lab and giving out pokemon to new trainers. Her father was known for his encyclopedia and books on different aspects of pokemon. One of the reasons she never told anyone her full name, she wanted to be known herself, not just because of him.
Her mother too. She was known for being a gym leader in both Johto and Hoenn... she didn't want to be known because of them. She wanted to be acomplished on her own, without their help.
