Meeting The Gange.

Let's face it. He was bored.

There weren't any challangers around because not that many people were passing even the first few Gym Leaders. He had been going at this for a few years now, and he had heard that a few Novice Trainers had become the Gym Leaders of certain gyms. So of course, he wanted to come and meet a few of them. Maybe test their skills to see if they were really the people in charge of defeating all of the trainers, of the the trainers them selves were to blame. If so, he knew he would have to head back now on Fang to Yeon and maybe stop at Mt. Iron Side for a while to catch some more for his team. But for now, he wanted to meet this "Raina" girl that the towns people told him was the Gym Leader of the town. She favored Grass Types apperntly, with the one off chance of her Pihcu being in the battle. This would be interesting, he knew it.

"C'mon, boy," he said to Fang in a low voice, stepping forward into the gym. The sun behind him was making a beuatiful array of colors as it began to sit slowly over the horision. The inside of the gym looked like one of those classic ones. The one at Yeon had steam blowing in it ocassionly, with the off chance that the battle feild could either be ground or lava. It was just one of his new addtions that he concocted. "Hello?" Chris hollared, stepping into the cool waiting room. It seemed a bit empty, as if no one had been there in a while. Maybe no one had. Chris gave a sigh, drooping his head slightly.

Well this should be interesting.

[Raina]

Raina was working in the back with her plants a flowers. She loved how beautiful they looked in the sunlight filtering in the glass roof that filled her whole gym with brilliant light, and gave a fantastic view of the stary sky at night. It was her love for plants and grass pokemon that Raina became a Gym leader for grass types. Grass was seen as the weakest of the four main elements of Water, Fire, Air and Ground. Maybe that's why she decided on Grass. To show that even the weakest thing can be proven the strongest.

Pichu sat by Raina's side, smelling the diffrent flowers and just having a relaxing day when her ears twitched. "Pi?" she squeeked. Now Raina listened and hear someone call for her in the battle field. She smiled and stood up, brushing her hands on her short green shorts and smoothing her orange tank top. Pichu gracefuly jumped from the floor to the perch of Raina's messy blonde hair which was pulled into a pony tail.

"Hello!" She said chearfuly as she entered the battle field of grass and rocks, the sun from the glass roofs like the ones on her garden falling through and making her, and the grass, as well as the trainer before her, glow with radience.

"Well, this is interesting," Chris murmmured, stepping into the battle arena to spot the Gym Leader. She didn't seem too ready, looking just plain a mess. Her Pichu looked too overly hyper, which wasn't too good for her part, eigher. Calm Pokemon were easier to control rather than those who couldn't stand still for a second to listen to orders. But Chris knew that some people just couldn't amount to other's skills, so he could only kindly introduce himself to the girl, hoping she seemed smarter than she look. "Uh, hello." Chris said, taking another step forward into the sunlight, his red almost fitting in with the rays, "I'm Chris, and I hail from Yeon Town. I'm the Gym Leader there, you see, and I have heard about a few new trainers becoming Gym Leaders. And this is my friend, Fang>" He gestured to his Arcanine as he spoke, making the Pokemon nodd a hello.

[Raina]

Raina nodded at the trainer as Pichu jumped up to Raina's shoulder, her fur a little more of a yellow tint than Raina's blonde hair. "Nice to meet you! I have heard of you a few times from trainers that come in here. Im Raina Heartnet and my partner Pichu." Pichu squeeked a hello as Raina placed her hands on her hips.

"So what is the 8th Gym leader doing here with the first?" Raina asked.

"Out of boredom," he simply said, smirking a bit at the Pichu she had. "No one has come to the Gym at Yeon it seems, and I have nothing to do now because of it. I know this sounds strange, but I know many people come here first before they go on to the other Gym Leaders to battle. You could almost say I'm checking up." Fang's nose twitched as he looked around the plants looking nice in this type on enviroment. Chris knew that his paretner and Houndoom were probably itching for a battle with this girl who seemed new to the Gym Leader "club." If she was as good as he hear, then Chris knew that this would be a battle worth while.

But he would have to find out first.

[Raina]

Raina smirked. "Checking up, huh? That sounds like a battle challenge." She placed her hand on a pokeball and took it off her belt. She clicked the middle button and it grew twice the sice as it had been. "Sounds fun." She smiled.

It had been a while since she had a good battle and she knew Gym leaders were suposed to be the best battlers. She couldn't wait to battle Chris. It would be the most fun she's had all day!

[Kçℵ]

Chris smirked. "Alrighty, then!" he told Raina. Slowly, he took a Pokeball from his belt, his mind already racing on what to do. "But just to make it interesting," he went on, gesturing Fang forward, "why not a two on two?" His side partner quickly took to the feild, watching carefully at the other Gym Leader. "I hope you don't mind," Chris said, "but I did bring my good team." Quickly, he tossed the Pokeball into the air. "Go, Magma!" he said aloud. A red light came out, and as it disapeared, it showed a large fire type with a grusome grin.

"Magmortar!" it said loud, it's foot slaming down onto the ground. Chris smirked, glad he had called on his father to ask if he could have the newly evolved Pokemon on his team again. Fang gave a loud growl, as if telling Raina to hurry up and make up her mind.

[Raina]

Raina was about to throw her pokeball when Chris made her stop for a second. "A double battle, huh? My favorite." Raina smirked, pulling out a second pokeball and doubling it's size before throwing them in the air. Two rythmic pops were heard and out came Leafeon and Shaymin appeard, each giving a battle cry in their own language.

"Since this is my Gym and you are my guest, I'll alow you to go first." Raina winked.

[Kçℵ]

"Okay then," Chris said, making his Pokemon get into position. "Magma, use your Fire Spin on Shaymin!" he told his slower Pokemon.

"Magmortar!" the Pokemon said, raising one of it's brutally large arms. A blast began to form, and quickly as it came it shot out into a large Fire Spin, right at the small Pokemon.

"Fang, follow up with Extreme Speed on the Leafeon!" Chris order. The Pokemon gave a growl before lurching at his master's orders, chraging with brilliant speed at the Leafeon.

[Raina]

Raina smirked. "You'll have to do better than that! Shaymin use safeguard!" Shaymin foucused and a blue/green barrior was wraped around it, letting the fire just slide right over her.

"Leafeon-" before Raina could tell Leafeon to dodge, she as hit with the extreme speed and was thrown in the air. "Damn! Leafeon use razor blade!" Leafeon threw leaves at super speeds at the two pokemon below.

[BTW, it's Razor Leaf, not Blade. Sceptile & Grovyle can use Razoe Blade I believe, though.]

"Magomortar?" the Pokemon said aloud, obviously confused as to how it's attack was blown off. Chirs smirked.

Well, this should be an interesing battle after all he thought to himself as an array of leaves began peltering his Pokemon, both giving out a call. Again, Chris smirked.

"Magma!" he called to his Pokemon. "Jump infront of Fang and use your Fire Spin as a sheild, like her practided!"

"Magmor!" the Pokemon called in return. With one swift movment, it leapt infront of it's cowering partner, raising one of it's Cannon-like arms. It began to glow with a charge, and in an instant, a firey sheilf was relasted, spnning on an axis where the fist stood. "Magmortar!" Magma called to the Leafeon as the leaves quickly began to receede into tiny fires.

[Hope you don't mind this part -]Chris smiled, the leaves drawing back at last. Both Pokemon looked a bit beaten by the leaves as Magma withdrew the flame, a few sparks flying around. This would be a long battle, he could tell.

"You like the new moveI tried to comprehend?" he called to Raina, Magma stepping aside as Fang stood wearily to his feet, his eyes watching the Leafeon acorss from him. "I've always wanted to try it out, but never have had the time. So, thanks, I guess." He chuckled lightly. Then suddenly, his happy exppression got watchful again. "Fang!" he called, his Pokemon getting into a readying stance. "Use fire Fang on Leafeon!" His Pokemon gave a cry, lurching forward as it's mouth eurupted in flames. The Pokemon gave a quick lung at the opposing Pokemon. "Magma!" he called to his other Pokemon. "Use your Overheat!" He knew that Magmortars - because of their new-found weight gain - were usually slower, like a Snorlax. So using a that could deal damage using distance would be great.

"Magmortar!" his Pokemon called, raising both arms to either side of it's body and opening it's mouth. Flames began shooting out, Chris covering his face so he wouldn't be that blinded by the hat wave.

Too bad he didn't have a plan like usual, though.
