Sunlight filtered in from the large sun roof over the Rann City Gym, blanketing the room in a sweet and not too harsh glow that made the flowers stretch to the light and the grass tickle at Raina's feet. Raina - the Rann City Gym leader - hadn't had a good battle in a long while. All the last few trainers she had faught against were either weak or just plain boring.
She sighed and rolled over on her stomach, Pichu squeaking and hopping down as she had been lying on Raina's stomach. Pichu scooted around Raina and sat in front of her face with a concerned look. Raina grinned and reached out to tickle Pichu on the stomach. Pichu giggled and sparked at Raina's finger. Luckily the spark wasnt ever strong enough to cause her pain, but it was strong enough to just tingle slightly.
Raina sighed once more. She hated waiting and since she had finished watering all the plants and trimming the trees and such within the building, she had nothing else to do but sit and wait and wait, and wait some more until someone traveling came in and asked to fight her.

Blaise walked up to the doors of the Rann City Gym. She knew the gym was home to Raina, one of her friends. She had a great deal of respect for the older woman, but she also liked to flirt with her and push her buttons when she had the chance. Pushing open the doors she walked in, breathing in the sweet smell of grass and flowers. "Rainaaaaaa!" she called, walking forward to the battle grounds. She smiled as she spotted the gym leader. "Hiya!" Blaise exclaimed, approaching her.

She blinked, the voice so familiar and excited as usual. Before she even looked up, Pichu had let out a cry of excitement and bounded over to the door and jumped up on the female. Raina grinned and jumped up, jumping on her friend as well.
"Blaise!" She squealed and hugged her tightly. She had missed her friend and thought it hadn't been THAT long since they, saw each other, it felt like it had been FOREVER. She took a step back from her friend and smiled warmly, letting Pichu nuzzle against Blaise for a few moments before holding out her hand for the small pokemon to hop onto and perch on her shoulder once again.

"It's so good to see you again" Blaise said with a smile. "You look good...of course, you always look good." She grinned and winked at Raina. "I don't know about you, but I'm getting really bored waiting for trainers to make it far enough to battle me. So I was wondering if you might want to battle me instead."

"You KNOW I always look good," She smirks and winks with a small snicker. She straightened and grinned. "And I'd love to battle you! How long has it been now? Ah no matter. What rules do you wanna go by?" She turned her head slightly as she turned to walk to grab her pokeballs. She picked up her back from the corner of the room and searched for her belt.
Slipping the belt around her hips, she headed back to Blaise and began to stretch her arms out across her chest.

Blaise smiled "How about a double battle, two-on-two. Sound good?" She ran her fingertips over the poke'balls attached to her belt, debating which poke'mon to use. She knew electric type attacks weren't particularly strong against grass types, but she had trained her poke'mon for years, and their raw strength should be enough to nullify their type disadvantage. Finally she selected two poke'balls, holding them up she tossed them up and down, waiting for Raina to decide if she was okay with the battle parameters

"Perfect," Raina clipped the belt to her waist and reached up, pulling her hair from the pony-tail only to retie it into a messy bun. She grinned and pulled two pokeballs from her belt. Pichu jumped up onto Raina's shoulder with a squeak. She loved to watch battles up close from Raina's shoulder. She leaned down and sniffed the pokeballs, letting out a happy squeal as she knew the scents coming from the pokeballs. "Double battle. First trainer to lose both pokemon wins. No switch-outs. Deal?"
