HISTORY: As a child, Raina was the type of girl who would go off running into tall grass just to study the wild pokemon without a pokemon of her own. She would take notes on their habits and soon could even tell when a pokemon was close to evolving or even close to giving birth.

Eventually she became more and more bold and soon would sit in the middle of the field, the pokemon passing right by her and not even giving her a second thought. She became close friends to the pokemon and by the time she had reached the age to head off on her own adventure, she could mimic the call of the native pokemon that lived by her town.

Right before going off on her adventure, she had wondered outside to check on her pokemon friends. She came to her usual spot and was surprised to see an egg she had never seen before under an oak tree. A few of the pokemon were around it, sniffing it with curiosity. She looked around and after not seeing any pokemon that could have made the egg, she took it and started to nurse it herself.

She would cuddle the egg going to sleep and carry it everywhere she went. It had been a month and the egg hadnt hatched just yet. She had started to wonder if it was a dud when it began to shake in the middle of the night during a lightning storm. At one particularly loud, bright, and close strike of lightning, the hard shell broke and there cried a new born pichu. Its dark black eyes fluttered open to see Raina before it smiled and pounced on her.

From that moment on, Raina became the mother to this little runt of a pichu and on her first day of her new journey, she let the small mouse sit on her shoulder as her new pokemon, bulbasaur, walk beside her into the first town.

It took her a long while, but after defeating the gym leaders and the elite four, she was offered the job as the grass leader in Rann town. She took the job, feeling it was great to have the same job as her father before he retired as gym leader.
