Marcy sat on a black bench near the center of the Arid gardens. Her black and fuchsia bag rested near her feet. On her lap was a sketch book open to a blank page. Her faintly tanned hand that held the same skin tone as the rest of her skin moved gracefully pulling a pencil along the paper leaving a graphite trail behind it. She looked up, tucking a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear. Marcy's sea foam green eyes settled on the posing pikachu in front of her. Chu, the pikachu, was holding a cookie in its mouth gently and looking up at Marcy. A faint sketch of the pikachu slowly formed on Marcy's once blank sketchbook page.
"Almost done Chu, then you can finish your cookie," Marcy promised as she added the final touches to her sketch of Chu.

As the girl sketched her Pokemon, another appeared without notice. Above the girl, on a tree, something moved and rustled. After a moment, a head poked out, looking down curiously and wondering what on earth the girl was doing.

The Caterpie watched from above, eyeing what the girl and her Pikachu were doing. Obviously, it had not seen such a thing before. After a few moments of waiting, the bug type turned from it's branch and returned into the depths of the tree; appearing seconds later at the top of the trunk, easily scuttling down to the ground. It took a moment, however the creature, quietly snuck its way over to the duo; its head bobbing from one way to the other as it tried to get a better look.

Marcy turned her head to the Caterpie and a smile lit her face. Caterpies were the only bug type that didn't freak her out. "Oh hello there little one! Would you like to see what I'm doing?" She asked, not waiting for an answer she held up her sketchbook to show the wild Pokemon the sketch of Chu and the cookie. "Oh Chu, you can eat your cookie now!" The blonde haired girl said turning her head to look at the pikachu.
In a matter of seconds the little pikachu's cookie was gone. The little yellow Pokemon approached the Caterpie curiously. She had a little red bow bound around one ear.
Marcy watched to see how the two would get along while slowly turning the page of her sketchbook. She once again began drawing. This time the sketch was of the curious Caterpie. She hoped it wouldn't run away until her sketch was done.

The Pokemon scuttled closer, peering at the girl before turning to interact with the Pikachu. It was rather sad it was finished with that cookie, but maybe there was more? Humans always had food, it seemed, and this Caterpie really enjoyed food. Well, what Caterpie didn't enjoy food? Leaning forward, the bug type began to sniff at the Pikchu's face. It took a moment, before it took itself back, and with a rather loud cry, said, "Caterpie!" It sounded more like a squeak than a loud cry, and it's tail seeming to wag did not help it much. "Caterpie Cater Caterpie!" it said again, before going back to trying to sniff the other Pokemon's face. There must have been crumbs left over for it to be so interested.

Marcy finished her sketch and looked at Chu attempting to evade the Caterpie. A giggle escaped her throat. "You want a cookie too, don't you?" She asked smiling at the caterpie. Marcy reached a delicate hand into her purse and pulled out a little plastic bag with cookies in it. She took one out and held it out for the caterpie.
Chu quickly ran and jumped onto Marcy's lap to get away from the cookie wanting caterpie. She looked at Marcy a bit upset that one of her cookies was being given away.
"Oh don't look at me like that," Marcy scolded looking at Chu.

The Caterpie squealed in delight at the cookie in front of her. Nearly launching forward, the creature happily munched on it until it was all gone, crumbs littered all around on the ground where the cookie had been. She obviously enjoyed the cookie, wiggling around happily as she finished it before looking up to the human.
"Caterpie Cater Caterpie!" it said, making it's way up next to the girl using the side of the bench. It plopped down next to her, probably expecting something from her. Caterpie loved to eat, then again.

Marcy looked down at the caterpie. She quietly pulled out an unused pokeball from her pack. "Hey little one, would you like to travel with me?" She asked the caterpie. Marcy hoped it would want to join her and Chu adventuring. She would find it sad to just leave this little gal behind. So the blonde girl carefully held out the pokeball to the pokemon.
Chu tilted her head to the side and looked at the Caterpie. She climbed up to Marcy's shoulder to get a better view of the rest of the garden. The pikachu then looked down upon the caterpie once more. she gave a nod of encouragement. Chu would like having another pokemon around as long as Chu still got her special cookies.
Chu noticed a leaf stuck in her partners hair and pulled it out. "Oh thank you Chu! Good thing you noticed that!" Marcy laughed smiling at her partner.

Travel? As in, go places? Places had food, lots and lots of yummy food for her! And this human gave her food, so maybe that meant there would be more food from her, too! That made her really happy! She wouldn't mind traveling. Maybe she could become stronger and evolve so she could eat more food! Happily, the Caterpie nodded her head. Shuffling forward, the Pokemon curiously poked her nose to the strange ball. The circle in front lit up, and made the Caterpie scramble back with a surprised squeak. A red light burst towards it and encircled it, drawing it in.
WIGGLE. WIGGLE WIGGLE. WIGGLE. WIGGLE WIGGLE WIGGLE.

She loves to explore and meet new people, and won't stop until her curiosity is snugged out. One thing she just loves, though, is food. One can easily win her over if they only gave her some. This is why she especially loves her trainer; because she gives her sweet-tasting food! She hopes to eat enough to grow big and evolve one day.

Marcy smiled. It was always nice to meet a new pokemon it was even better if she befriended them. The best was when said pokemon decided to travel with her. She looked at the pokeball that held her new caterpie. "She seemed to like sweet things so i will call her Pie." She decided standing up. She placed the pokeball in her bag gently before picking it up.
Chu drapped herself over Marcy's shoulder ready for what ever they did next. "Alright Chu, lets go see the river! I've heard its really pretty!" Marcy said as she began walking through the garden. Chu nodded vigorously.
The two walked for a bit before stopping just at the garden's exit. Marcy paused to look back at the garden. She took in the peacefulness of the place and sighed happily. Chu also looked around she would remember this place as the place where Pie tried eating cookie crumbs off her face. The two turned and left the garden.
