The tall finely tanned girl walked briskly down the path. A perminant scowl was engraved upon her lips. Her emerald green eyes were dull in the sense of emotion, as none showed. Her black hair floated behind her like a black veil. Her feet made no sound as she walked her black sandals worn despite her great urge to just kick them off and walk barefoot. Her black draw string bag was slung over one shoulder and her guitar case hung from the other.
A young Poochyena scampered along by her feet. The pokemon looked as equally moody as the girl. They were partners and they knew they always had to keep moving, they never knew when Team Rocket would try to come after her again. They hadn't in years, but Nova could never be certain.
"Keep up Pooch. I will not slow down until we reach town or a good training spot," She said glancing at the Poochyena. " I know we have been walking all day but we just can't slow down."

He might have slept all day, and gotten up at night to spook someone, had it not been for the girl. He had not been expecting and humans to be walking around, so when he heard one's voice, it awoke him from his sleep almost instantly. Pulling himself from the little cubby he called a home - a little hole made in pushed up against a tree and covered by a thick bush - the creature peered around the tree, eyeing his prey as it walked on. Both looked tired, so maybe it would be easier? Yes, tired folk were always easier to scare to anger, because they were probably paying less attention to their surroundings. And, if push came to shove, they could be easier to battle as well. Not that he would mind a battle, either. They seemed strong for being tied, and he had not had a decent battle in a while, anyway.
Slipping from coverage, he was quiet as the girl's footsteps, floating up to them as his eyes glowed a dark red.

"Duskull!" came the cry, rushing through the human in a transparent state. That was the joy of being a ghost type; you could go through almost anything. Almost. "Skull Duskull!" he cried, rushing around the air in the thought that he might be attacked.

Nova stopped in her tracks. Her green eyes tracked the movements of the Duskull thoughtfully. She would like to stop and battle with this thing, but Pooch only knew two normal type moves, and Duskull was a ghost type. Nova could tell this wild pokemon might enjoy a fight but she didn't want to put Pooch in danger. An idea formed in her mind. What if i catch this guy? I have to catch him by surprise though. she thought.
"Pooch Howl!" Nova commanded confidently. Pooch looked at her quizzically. Normally Nova didn't use moves like that, but he still howled, not wanting to displease Nova. Meanwhile Nova casually put her hand in a pocket of her bag. she searched with her hand until she found exactly what she had wanted. Her delicate fingers closed around the object and brought out the unused pokeball. She made sure the Duskull would be unable to notice it in her hand before returning her attention to the wild pokemon.

Howl? Didn't that only raise a stat of the other Pokemon's? Quite confusing. Lowering itself down to the other Pokemon, it leered at the Poochyena before swiftly floating back; expecting a better attack than that to come from it. He noticed the trainer move, grabbing something from somewhere - probably a stick or something; some humans seemed to think sticks would work on him when a Pokemon's moves could not - though he ignored it. Instead, he awaited another move from the Poochyena, half listening to the trainer due to learning that human-owned Pokemon seemed to like to enjoy listening to their human's commands more so than they did their own. It was quite pitiful, really, but he became used to it by now.

Nova narrowed her eyes."Pooch Use tackle!" She called the command to her partner. Nova knew however that tackle would be very ineffective against the ghost type. As Pooch ran at the Duskull Nova threw the pokeball hoping it being distracted by pooch would allow her to catch the ghost type. If not she had another plan that involved talking to the pokemon.
If this doesn't work i will probably have to either run or promise it that if he comes with me he would be able to get stronger and participate in better battles than this one would turn out as. Nova thought not liking her options. She knew some people carried around sweets or other pokemon food to use in situations similar to this. She however was not one of those people. She would just have to leave it too her powers of persuasion.
Pooch also knew they were at a disadvanage, this was one of those moments where the pokemon wished he knew more battle moves than this.
